Description
A cross-section of a loblolly pine tree displays its concentric growth rings rendered in precise black ink, each ring marking a year of growth from the pale center outward to the irregular bark edge. The composition centers the circular form against a clean white ground, capturing the meditative geometry of nature through the deliberate marks of woodblock printing. At home in a naturalist's study or a minimalist interior seeking quiet botanical interest. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
